almost 8 years ago, i had a crush in this girl in our teenage years and we were really good friends before. she had the mutual feelings but we were young so we didn’t know how to nurture it. this song was on repeat during those times where we didn’t figure it out. we both found different lovers between those 8 years but it really felt different with her. she’s soft and kind and warm. i’ve come in full circle now that i’ve fallen for her again and idk; i think we’re starting to figure things out slowly as we’re still healing from different reasons but i can say that there’s nobody else in the world that i want but her. call that magic.

Like the rest of the album, this albums has story to tell about a relationship that’s failed because of his own fault. In this song if you replace the word MAGIC with the word LOVE you’d understand the meaning of the song much better. The person he sings about is the magician and he is the volunteer coming on stage. The lesson “don’t try to trick a magician” Nobody believes in magic until they see it for themself. We all need proof that magic exists in order to believe it, and the same goes for LOVE, we must see it to believe it! “And I just got broken, broken into two” his heart is broken into 2 pieces now.... “Call it magic, cut me into two
